Detailed Itinerary

VIET NAM FAMILY JOURNEY 14 DAYS

Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi (D)

You are warmly welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Hanoi capital of Vietnam. Check in and relax before taking half day city tour around the Old Quarter by cyclo to understand the daily life of Vietnamese, especially Hanoian. Enjoy welcome dinner and attend the Water Puppet Show. You feel the tradition and custom of the wet rice country.  Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Leave Hanoi at 8:30 for Halong Bay, on arrival at Halong city at about 12:00.  Halong is recognized a natural heritage of the world in Dec 1994. Upon arrival, get on Junk cruising around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch, passing Dog island, Incense Urn island, Ga Choi island, Finger island, Hoa Cuong island and visit Surprise Cave. Have dinner and overnight on boat. You can discover the natural beauty. Overnight on Junk.

Day 3: Halong Bay - Cat Ba Island (B/L)

After breakfast, The boat shall move to isolated place for kayaking, then transferred to the hotel in Catba town, drive to National Park and take a short trek up to the mountain to enjoy the overview of Catba National Park - Cat Ba Island, its national park and the surrounding area are nationally and internationally recognized for their importance to biodiversity conservation.

About 1400 vascular plants, including 23 Endangered and Critically Endangered species (Red Data Book of Vietnam; IUCN Red List) have so far been recorded. The cave, land snail and butterfly fauna is rich including the most northerly cave-adapted crab species, plus four species of true cave snails..  and Halong bay. Overnight in Catba island.

Day 4: Cat Ba island - Hanoi (B/L)

Free time on beach before taking an express boat back to Haiphong and visit Du Hang pagoda, Hang Kenh temple. Come back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong - Ninh Binh (B/L/D)

After breakfast, the tour guide will  Pick up at your hotel depart to Cuc Phuong with stop over on the way for taking photographs of Viet Nam peaceful country side. Arrive in Cuc Phuong. Start to visit Centre of endangered rescue where still appearing precious animals, such as: white shorts monkeys, snakes, foxes, etc...

Keep trekking to discover the variety of fauna and flora of the forest in fresh atmosphere. Have picnic lunch on the way. After lunch Visit “Cho trees” the huge ones would take ten arm’s length to contain their circumference and the “primitive man cave” Get on car back to Ninh Binh town. Dinner and overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 6: Van Long - Kenh Ga - Hanoi (B/L)

Have a breakfast. Get on the car for Van Long village where you will have chance to learn about customs, culture and the daily life of the locals. Enjoy traditional Vietnamese lunch.

After lunch, transfer to Kenh Ga, take a motorboat along Hoang Long river, enjoy the landscape and the life of fishman on the river. Back to Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi City Tour - Hoi An (B/L)

After breakfast, we will go to haft day city tour Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One pillar pagoda, visit to Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam, Tran Quoc Pagoda. Have lunch in the restaurant, we go to the Ethnology museum where contains more than 10,000 objects, 15,000 black and white photos and hundreds of video tapes and cassettes which depict all aspects of life, activities, customs, and habits of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. Take afternoon flight to Danang, Transfer to Hoi An ancient town. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An at leisure (B)

Morning visit the ancient town or enjoy cooking class. Leisure time in the afternoon for beach activities or relax on the bank of Thu Bon river or go shopping around - Hoian is one of the best places for textile tailor and shopping. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 9: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh (B)

Transfer to Danang, take the flight to Saigon. The tour guide warmly welcome and pick up you to the hotel. Check in and Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnel (B/L)

Have a breakfast, we drive back and stop to visit Cu Chi Tunnel system, the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors. After have lunch, we go to the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh market. You can feel the differences between hotels in Hanoi and in Saigon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B/L)

Leave at 8:00 from your hotel for My Tho, on arrival, get on a private boat cruising Floating Fish Market and along small creek to Mekong River estuary, to Phoenix Island and stop at a garden restaurant for Vietnamese lunch. The motorized boat cruises more along natural creeks and quiet village in Ben Tre Province. Visit orchards, bee - keeping farm, taste natural honey and honey wine, enjoy tropical fruit, traditional music, wonder around a distillery, explore the local coconut candy production process, taste candy & coconut pulp. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh City, stop at a bonsai garden in My Tho. End tour in the late evening. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc Island (B)

On the morning, we take the flight to Phu Quoc. Relax and free in Phu Quoc. You feel the beauty of the sea, the beauty of the sunrise and sunset. Go to some local markets in Phu quoc

Day 13: Phu Quoc Island (B)

Free time. Overnight in Phu Quoc

Day 14: Phu Quoc - Departure (B)

Free time until departure.
