Ba Ria – Vung Tau province attracts more than 6.4 million tourist arrivals
In the first 6 months of 2013, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province attracted
6,466,082 tourist arrivals, increasing by 10.75% over the same period of 2012;
of which, international arrivals were 248,095. Total tourism receipts reached
VND 1,480 billion, up 17.9% over the same period of 2012.
To gain
this result, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province has made considerable efforts to
increase promotion. Particularly, the province has focused on improving
awareness of community in doing tourist business and set strict regulations to
ensure good tourism environment.
According
to Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and
Tourism, at the end of July, the Ho Tram Strip tourist complex will be open for
the 1st phase. This will be the highlight for provincial tourism sector and
contribute to increase international arrivals to the province. The Department
of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize the workshop to find solutions
attracting Japanese tourists; organize competition of province’s typical
souvenirs; publish publications to promote tourism in Vietnamese, English,
Japanese languages.
