Sapa is not only famous for its beautiful landscape but also well known as culture destination that features would be easy to be found in the tribal markets of the Northwest Vietnam. Coc Ly is one of the most special mountain markets in the region, which takes place once a week on every Tuesday morning. Visit the market, visitors will have chance to meet with colourful ethnic people including Flower Hmong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen who gathers to exchange homemade products. Trekking to local villages, the scenic view of Chay river plus a visit to Vietnam - China Border Gate are great highlights of the trip.

 SAPA - COC LY MARKET 3 DAYS

Day 1 - Sunday: Hanoi - Lao Cai for Sapa

Our English assistance will pick up & bring you to the Hanoi Station at 120 Le Duan Str., Hanoi for getting on an overnight train journey from Hanoi to the border town of Lao Cai.

Day 2 - Monday: Lao Cai - Sapa (B/D)

The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 6:00am. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. The drive to Sapa is only 33 km but it takes around 1.5 hours. Once at Sapa, we will check into hotel (early check-in subject to availability) and have breakfast. Freshen up and relax at leisure before exploring Sapa town. In the afternoon, take a 2km trek to Cat Cat village, home to the H’mong Ethnic. Meet & talk with the local to understand more about their daily life. Back to Sapa by car and overnight at hotel in Sapa.

Day 3 - Tuesday: Sapa - Coc Ly - Lao Cai - Hanoi (B/L/D)

Leave Sapa for Coc Ly tribal market which offers the chance to see H'mong and Dzao minority people in their most colorful costumes. Take a boat trip down stream on Chay river with picnic lunch. Enjoy scenic view from river and trek to Dzao, Tay minority villages. On the way visit Vietnam - China International Border Gate.  Return back to Lao Cai train station for night train back to Hanoi. Overnight onboard. The trip ends at Hanoi station.
